Quality & Safety at our facility

Safety & Quality
Patient safety and quality care are our highest priorities. As an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), we are committed to providing safe, efficient, and patient-centered outpatient surgical care in a comfortable setting.

Our Commitment to Safety in an Ambulatory Setting
Our care model is designed specifically for outpatient procedures.
We focus on:
  • Providing care to patients who are appropriate for an ambulatory surgery setting
  • Clear communication with patients, provider, and care team members
  • Maintaining a safe environment before, during, and after each procedure
We encourage patients to ask questions and actively participate in their care.

Quality Monitoring & Performance Improvement
We engage in ongoing quality assessment and performance improvement activities to support safe outpatient care.
These activities may include:
  • Reviewing clinical outcomes related to procedures performed in our center
  • Monitoring patient experiences and satisfaction
  • Evaluating processes related to scheduling, recovery, and discharge
  • Implementing improvements when opportunities for enhancement are identified

Infection Prevention & Control
Infection prevention is a critical component of safe ambulatory surgical care.
Our ASC follows nationally recognized infection prevention practices, including:
  • Hand hygiene
  • Safe injection practices
  • Proper cleaning and disinfection of instruments, equipment, and patient care areas
  • Ongoing staff education related to infection prevention
These practices help support a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Medication & Anesthesia Safety in the ASC
Medication and anesthesia safety are essential to outpatient procedures. Our provider is not only a pain physician, but also a board certified anesthesiologist, which adds more safety to your experience.
Our safety practices include:
  • Verifying patient identity, procedure, and surgical site
  • Reviewing medications, allergies, and medical history prior to care
  • Monitoring patients before, during, and after anesthesia in accordance with ambulatory standards
  • Ensuring readiness to respond to emergencies that may occur in an outpatient setting
Patients play an important role by providing complete and accurate health information.

Qualified Staff & Ongoing Training
Our ASC team consists of licensed and credentialed professionals who:
  • Meet applicable licensure and scope-of-practice requirements
  • Maintain competencies related to ambulatory surgical care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training focused on patient safety, infection prevention, and emergency response

Emergency Preparedness in an Ambulatory Setting
Although procedures are outpatient, we maintain preparedness plans for medical and facility-related emergencies, including:
  • Medical emergencies
  • Fire and safety events
  • Equipment or utility disruptions
Staff participate in regular drills and reviews to support patient safety.

Patient Feedback & Continuous Improvement
Patient feedback is an important part of our quality improvement efforts.
  • Patients are asked to share feedback about their experience at our ASC
  • Feedback is reviewed to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Concerns are addressed promptly and respectfully

Accreditation & Accountability
This facility is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), demonstrating our commitment to nationally recognized standards for ambulatory surgery centers. Accreditation includes ongoing review of safety practices, quality improvement activities, and patient-centered care.
